American singer and songwriter Charlie Puth paid an emotional tribute to “Friends” star Matthew Perry. Puth dedicated a song to the deceased actor during his recent concert in Melbourne, Australia.

Several clips of the concert were uploaded on social media platforms where Charlie sang the Friends theme song as well as the See You Again track which he has sung along with rapper Wiz Khalifa.

Matthew Perry rose to fame as his character in the comedy series “Friends” as Chandler Bing began to be appreciated widely. Perry became a favorite across generations for his role as Chandler Bing. 

Charlie played a piano version of the theme song “I’ll be there for You’. Before he started, he said, “I want to dedicate this song to another song, and if it makes you think of a person, that’s who it’s dedicated to. Does this mean anything to you?”

A fan shared the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “Charlie Puth mixed the theme song of Friends with See You Again as a tribute to Matthew. This is beyond beautiful.”

A comment stated, “Charlie, you’re incredibly kind. Rest in peace, Matthew Perry.” An individual, identified as ‘X user’, expressed, “I feel a mix of overwhelming emotions, my heart is both full and shattered.”

The last post Matthew Perry’s Instagram account left his fans emotional. Perry posted five days ago in which he was seen enjoying the night inside a jacuzzi. The actor was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The latest post of the actor had a clever caption: “Ah, the comforting sensation of swirling water. Feeling good? I’m Mattman.”

Matthew frequently employed the moniker ‘Mattman,’ a playful nod to Batman, in his social media updates. Not long ago, he shared a video of the moon with the accompanying message, “Can you grasp what I’m hinting at? – I’m Mattman.”
