Thamma Box Office Collection Day 9: Bollywood’s returning vampire, Ayushmann Khurrana, has set the box office on fire. Sharing the screen with Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, Maddock Films’ horror-comedy has had a record-breaking start. Thamma, the biggest opener for Khurrana yet, was also the second-highest for the Maddock-verse after Stree 2.

Thamma has also spent generously on visual effects and bringing its fans some old-school horror-action. With a rumoured guest appearance from Varun Dhawan, Maddock Films links its horror-comedy multiverse and pits them against one another. It also features a nail-biting fight between Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhediya. Also seen in Stree 2, this is the makers’ attempt to always impress their fans.

Thamma Collection Day 9: Box Office Update

Since its Diwali 2025 release, Thamma has enjoyed a dream run at the box office. The film opened strong with Rs 24 crore on day one and continued to perform consistently, staying above the Rs 10 crore mark through its first weekend. Riding the festive wave, the horror-comedy earned Rs 18.6 crore on its first Wednesday and another Rs 13 crore the next day, as per Sacnilk estimates.

Heading into its first full weekend, Thamma added Rs 10 crore on Friday before raking in over Rs 25 crore across Saturday and Sunday. Including midweek earnings of nearly Rs 10 crore, the film’s domestic total has now crossed Rs 104 crore, while its global collection has touched an impressive Rs 130 crore in just its first week. On Day 9, Thamma collected Rs 3.25 crore taking the total numbers to Rs 104.6 crore.

Thamma vs Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat

Multi-starrer Thamma has also given stiff competition to romance film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. Featuring Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardan Rane, the duo has grossed Rs 50 crore so far. The festive release, however, has slowed down as the weekday approaches. With another weekend ahead, can Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat make the mark and perform well in their second week? Audiences have high hopes since Bollywood movies have lost momentum after the stellar success of films like Chhaava and Saiyaara.
