Squid Game Season 3 Release Date: The highly awaited season 3 of Squid Game is coming to Netflix sooner than anticipated. The streaming giant unveiled a new poster, announcing that the South Korean dystopian survival drama will premiere in June.
Netflix India shared a fresh poster featuring a masked guard in pink, dragging a dead player in the show’s iconic green jumpsuit into a coffin adorned with a bow—an element teased in season 2. The release announcement read, “Press (circle emoji) for the final round. Watch Squid Game Season 3 on June 27. #NextOnNetflix.” The floor is decorated with floral murals that form a circle.”
The final season picks up right after the intense conclusion of season two. According to the media reports, the story will focus on Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) as he presses forward with his mission to bring an end to the deadly game. Meanwhile, The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) is plotting his next move, while the remaining players are forced to confront even more perilous consequences with each passing round.
Fans were excited yet cautious about the news, given the long wait of three years between season 1 and season 2. One user joked, “You mean this June, right?” while another wrote, “Hype mode activated.”
Some fans even pointed out the earlier leak of the release date, referencing a teaser Netflix accidentally published before removing it. The poster also bears the words “Prepare for the final game,” indicating that this will be the show’s concluding season.
About Squid Game
Squid Game follows Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), aka player 456, who initially joins the deadly games in season 1 to clear his debts. In season 2, Gi-hun enters the competition willingly, aiming to bring down the system, but the Frontman (portrayed by Lee Byung-hun) presents new challenges. The season concludes on a cliffhanger, paving the way for season 3. Meanwhile, Wi Ha-joon’s character, Hwang Jun-ho, a police officer with his own agenda, also plays a key role in trying to dismantle the game.
