Mohit Suri’s latest directorial Saiyaara, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has turned out to be a box office miracle. The romantic musical drama, which hit theatres on July 18, just six days ago, has already collected a massive Rs 153.25 crore across India, becoming one the highest-grossing films of the year.

The trade analytics website Sacnilk reported that the film earned an impressive Rs 21 crore on Wednesday alone. With an earning of Rs 21.5 crore on Day 1, Saiyaara maintained a strong momentum through the week, collecting Rs 25 crore on Tuesday, its fifth day. By the end of Day 5, the total earnings stood at Rs 132.25 crore, which further escalated after Wednesday’s performance.
According to early estimates, the film brought in another Rs 25 crore on its fifth day, becoming the biggest box office performer of 2025 so far. On its fifth day, Saiyaara surpassed the collections of earlier hits such as Jaat and Kesari Chapter 2, claiming the top spot for the year.
On Day 6, the film continued its strong streak, even challenging the big releases of this year by veterans like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. Aiyaara left behind previous records set by films like Sky Force and Sikandar.
Currently, Saiyaara ranks fifth in the list of top-grossing Indian films for 2025 in terms of domestic collections. It holds the same position on the global box office, trailing only behind mega releases such as Chhaava, Housefull 5, Raid 2, and Sitaare Zameen Par.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced under the Yash Raj Films banner, Saiyaara marks the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The story, reportedly inspired by the 2004 South Korean film A Moment to Remember, is a big hit with audiences.
