Despite suffering from a kidney problem, an ailing fan of superstar Rajinikanth was determined to see his favourite star’s latest release ‘Lingaa’ and was found dead on his seat at a cinema house here today after the show with the intravenous drip-tube intact, police said.
The 56-year-old Rajendran, hailing from Chettipalayam in the city, was reportedly undergoing treatment for a kidney problem at the Government Hospital and was on drip for the last few days, police said.
Being an ardent Rajinikanth fan, he wanted to watch the movie ‘Lingaa’, but strict vigil at the hospital prevented his movement.
