Neha Kakkar faced vehement backlash after arriving three hours late to her concert in Melbourne, Australia. Widely circulated fan-shared videos on X showed the Bollywood sensation having a meltdown on stage while irate fans are heard hurling insults at her and shouting at her to go back.

Clips of the scene going viral online showed Neha in tears as she told her piece, attempting to pacify the livid audience. She said, “You have been really sweet and patience itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho (you have been waiting for so long). I hate it. Maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya (I’ve never made anyone wait in my entire life).”

She continued in Hindi, “Aap itne din se wait kar rahe ho (You have been waiting for so long).” Apoligising to her fans in Australia, Neha Kakkar told them that they meant the world to her. “Aap log itne sweet ho (You people are so sweet). I was so worried ki kya hoga (I was worried what would happen). It means a lot to me. I’ll always remember this evening forever.” The Indian singer then guaranteed the crowd that her tuned would make them groove. “I’ll make sure, aap log jo mere liye itna keemati time nikaal ke aaye ho (that you have taken out your precious time for me), I make you all dance,” she went on.

In another video shared on Instagram, a netizen shared the visuals of the Melbourne concert, as they fumed how Neha Kakkar “came up to the stage at 10 pm for 7:30 show.” They also accused her of “doing drama of crying,” and added, “Wrapped up in less than hour… Such a cr*p concert.. heights is unprincipled.”

A different concertgoer slammed her online: “After waiting for 3 hrs she performed for only 1hr Totally waste of Time&Money. Artist should respect the audience time as well.”

People who had hoped to make an unforgettable experience out of Neha Kakkar’s concert in Melbourne could be heard jeering her at the venue: “This isn’t India. You’re in Australia. Go back and take rest. We waited over two hours. Very good acting. Yeh Indian Idol nahi hai (This isn’t Indian Idol).”

She did this show without the payment & the dancers & everyone she paid from her own pocket. She came just for audience!” someone commented. Another IG user claimed that the event was bound to be cancelled after the organisers “rans with the sponsor money,” but she still showed up for the fans. The user also attributed it as the reason for her onstage breakdown.
