Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has sold his luxurious duplex apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for Rs 83 crore, marking a remarkable 168% appreciation in value over four years. The sale, officially registered in January 2025, was confirmed through property documents available on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website.

Situated in the vibrant Oshiwara locality, the property is part of “The Atlantis,” an upscale residential development by Crystal Group. The area is well-known for its excellent connectivity and proximity to key locations like the Lokhandwala Complex, main roads, and the Mumbai Metro, making it a prime destination for luxury living.

Impressive Property Features and Specifications

The duplex apartment spans 5,704 square feet of built-up area, with a carpet area of 5,185 square feet. It features a spacious 4,800 square foot terrace and comes with six mechanized parking spaces. The total stamp duty paid for the sale was Rs 4.98 crore, with a registration charge of Rs 30,000.

Amitabh Bachchan had purchased the apartment for Rs 31 crore in April 2021, and its value has skyrocketed since then. The sale price reflects a significant rise in value, underscoring the growing demand for prime real estate in Mumbai.

In addition to the sale, the apartment was rented out to actress Kriti Sanon in November 2021 for Rs 10 lakh per month, with a security deposit of Rs 60 lakh.
