Filmmaker Karan Johar has unveiled his upcoming project, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. This marks the first collaboration between Johar and Aaryan, a partnership fans have eagerly awaited.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, known for helming the 2023 hit Satyaprem Ki Katha, the film promises to bring a fresh and exciting dynamic to the romantic comedy genre. Johar shared the news with a teaser on his Instagram handle, calling it the “best Christmas gift ever” for fans. The film is slated for release in theatres in 2026.
Johar, along with Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, will produce Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. Additionally, Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishore Arora of Namah Pictures will join the production team.
This announcement comes after a long wait for Aaryan and Johar’s collaboration, which was first hinted at in 2019 when they were supposed to work together on Dostana 2, a sequel to the 2008 hit Dostana. However, in 2021, rumors of differences between the producer and the actor led to the recasting of the film.
