‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ which stars Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’ has grossed a total of 38 crores at the Indian box office, reports Koimoi.com. The movie will continue to have a good run at the Box Office, added the entertainment website. The movie was released on December 20, 2017, and according to a PTI report, it has won the first box office weekend of 2018 over the launch of “Insidious: The Last Key” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” with 36 million dollars at 3,801 North American locations.
‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ is a sequel to action-comedy Jumanji released in 1996 starring legendary comedian Robin Williams in a leading role. The movie was about how a group of people playing a board game called Jumanji got involved in the game itself. The characters of the game come alive and start interfering in the real world of humans. The rest is about how these four people managed to escape the dangers and adventures of the game.
In ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, the board game is replaced by video game but the rest of the situation remains the same. The movie is very similar to its last venture and is about the unsolved mission which this group undertakes. The entire movie is about solving that mission and getting back to their real avatars and escaping into real life. This movie offers a golden chance to relive childhood memories of Jumanji. The movie is also a tribute to actor Robin Williams who died in August 2014.
