Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Day 1: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi make a powerful comeback in the courtroom with Jolly LLB 3. Released on Friday, September 19, the family film has received huge applause on social media. Extremely impressed by Saurabh Shukla’s performance, some even said that he stole the show. Crossing the Rs 10 crore mark on its opening day, the weekend seems to look good for Jolly LLB 3 box office collections.

The Jolly LLB franchise has been written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. The witty and satirical humour had the audience in splits as they left with a powerful message. While occupancy rates were not that great, the Jolly LLB 3 team can look forward to better numbers on the opening weekend, as they grossed Rs 12.5 crore on Day 1.

Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection: 22% occupancy rate

Despite high ticket sales and advance booking numbers, the Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar courtroom drama could not touch the 40% mark. With nearly 4000 screens showing Jolly LLB 3, Chennai had the highest occupancy, but with only 50 shows in the metro city. However, in NCR, with over 1000 shows scheduled, their occupancy rates were still 29.33%. Similarly, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Lucknow did comparatively well. The film was not received well in Surat, a common pattern noticed in several Bollywood releases this year.

Jolly LLB 3 has also stolen the thunder of Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi, one of the longest films with curse words. With themes similar to his superhit Gangs of Wasseypur, Nishaanchi struggled to compete with Jolly LLB on box office.

Jolly LLB 3 vs Jolly LLB 2

Also starring Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Gajraj Rao in key roles, Jolly LLB 3 did not manage to beat its sequel, Jolly LLB 2’s opening day record, set at Rs 13.2 crore. With a worldwide gross collection of nearly Rs 200 crore, fans are eager to know whether Akshay Kumar can beat his own record.

After Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB grossed Rs 46 crore worldwide in 2013, Akshay Kumar took the franchise to new heights. However, Akshay Kumar’s highest-grossing film till now is Housefull 4, which collected Rs 2,05,60,50,000 in 2019. It is followed by Good Newwz (2019), Sooryavanshi (2021), and Mission Mangal (2019).
