Harsh Goenka, the Chairman of RPG Group, recently shared his thoughts on Shark Tank India in a lighthearted way, calling out the losses of some companies owned by the Sharks. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Goenka wrote, “I enjoy #SharkTankIndia as a program, and I think it is a great platform for budding entrepreneurs. But whenever I think of sharks, I think of the movie ‘Jaws’ and bleeding!” He even posted a table of losses made by these companies, poking fun at their financial struggles.
The judges in question include Boat co-founder Aman Gupta, Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal, Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl, Lenskart’s Peyush Bansal, and others. While Goenka’s post was meant to be humorous, Anupam Mittal didn’t hold back and responded, saying the data shared was biased and incomplete. He added a playful remark, “Like u, the sharks 🦈 don’t bleed red, we bleed blue 🇮🇳 & that’s why we do what we do.”
The social media reactions were mixed. Some fans suggested Goenka should join the Shark Tank panel for his sharp wit, while others took the opportunity to crack jokes about the show’s investments. One comment read, “Why don’t you join Shark Tank? It’ll be amazing with your super wit.”
This exchange shows how business titans like Goenka and Mittal can still engage in playful banter, while also highlighting the competitive and challenging nature of entrepreneurship – even for the biggest names in the game. It’s not all sharks and blood – sometimes, it’s just a little fun.
