Google Trends: Musician and singer Raghu Dixit has tied the knot again and this time to his long-time friend and fellow musician Varijashree Venugopal, a well-known flutist, singer and music educator. The couple got married on October 14, 2025, in a private ceremony.
A few days later, on October 25, Raghu himself confirmed the news by posting a picture with Varijashree on Instagram. Along with the photo, he wrote a simple and heartfelt note, “To Joy and Togetherness! Grateful to step into this new journey with the blessings of our elders, families, and loved ones. Love and Light Vari & Ragh.” Raghu and Varijashree have entered a new phase of life and fans and friends are already showering them with love and wishes for a happy married life ahead.
From friends to life partners
Raghu and Varijashree’s relationship started out as a friendship rooted in music. Over time, their connection deepened and the two decided to take the next step. Before marrying Varijashree, Raghu was married to choreographer Mayuri Upadhyay. They married in 2005, began living apart in 2016 and officially divorced in 2019.
A simple, traditional wedding
The wedding was attended by close friends and a few celebrities, including actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who shared inside pictures from the event. Raghu wore a traditional yellow-toned veshti with maroon borders, while Varijashree looked elegant in an orange saree paired with a blue blouse and traditional jewelry. Photos showed the couple performing rituals and smiling throughout the ceremony. Content creator Ayyo Shraddha was also spotted among the guests.
A bond visible long before the wedding
Back in February 2025, Raghu had posted a photo of Varijashree on social media when she was nominated for a Grammy, calling her a friend and expressing how proud he was of her. Fans at the time had already begun guessing there was more to the story.
Raghu’s first wedding
Raghu was earlier married to dancer Mayuri Upadhyay. After their separation, Raghu had publicly said that Mayuri was a good wife but he felt he was not a good husband. Their divorce was not connected to the sexual harassment allegations made by singer Chinmayi Sripada around the same time. Mayuri had demanded strict action on the allegations while confirming the divorce was a separate matter.
