Rajnikanth-starrer action thriller ‘Coolie’ has witnessed fluctuation in the box office earnings despite featuring a superstar cast. The film has earned Rs 4.24 crore till 8 PM on its seventh day, August 20, according to Sacnilk. Similarly, the net India collection has touched Rs 220.24 crore till 8 PM. The movie performed decently over the weekend, touching the Rs 200 crore mark, but plunged during the weekdays.

According to Industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie opened strongly with Rs 65 crore on its first day, with a significant contribution from the Tamil version. Despite a steady decline at the box office, the collection remained decent, having Rs 54.75 crore on Friday, Rs 39.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 35.25 crore on Sunday.

However, its collections experienced a steep drop of 65.96 per cent on its first Monday, bringing in only Rs 12 crore. The film continued to see a decline in its weekday collections, earning Rs 9.5 crore on Tuesday.

Coolie occupancy rate Day 7

The movie on its seventh day recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 19.59 per cent. The day’s occupancy showed a gradual increase from morning to evening, starting with 15.50 per cent in the morning shows, rising to 19.35 per cent in the afternoon, and peaking at 23.91 per cent in the evening. This trend indicates that the film maintained a moderate hold on its core Tamil audience even on a weekday.

Similarly, it recorded a modest occupancy for the Hindi shows. The morning shows began at 5.60 per cent, which more than doubled to 12.13 per cent in the afternoon. The occupancy remained consistent in the evening at 12.16 per cent.

However, Telugu occupancy increased throughout the day. It started with 13.81 per cent in the morning shows, the occupancy rose to 15.72 per cent in the afternoon and peaked at 17.49 per cent during the evening shows.
