Esha Deol paid a heartwarming tribute to her ‘darling papa’ on legendary actor Dharmendra‘s 90th birth anniversary. The actor left millions heartbroken after he passed away on November 24, following prolonged respiratory issues. The actor’s family silently bid him adieu in a quick and quiet ceremony, as his final days were cruel, Hema Malini had told filmmaker Hamad Al Reyami.
While Hema Malini wasn’t seen at the prayer meet organised by Deol family, she took to social media to share a loving note for her late husband and posted rare pictures with the actor.
Dharmendra was known to be a loving but protective father. Esha mentioned how the late actor wanted her to get married by the age of 18, while Hema once revealed he preferred his children wear traditional clothing. There are several aspects of Dharmendra as dad that are now coming to surface post his demise as his children share their most precious memories. Dharmendra passed away just two weeks before turning 90, that too when his fans were expecting him to make a full recovery post his discharge from the hospital.
On his 90th birth anniversary, Esha’s note says a lot about her bond with her late dad and the kind of void he has left behind.
Addressing Dharmendra as ‘my darling papa’, Esha wrote a moving note on social media, saying she still carries his memories deep inside her heart for the rest of her lifetime.
“Our pact, the strongest bond. “us“ through all our lifetimes, all the realms and beyond ….. We are always together papa. Be it heaven or earth. We are one.
For now I have very tenderly, carefully & preciously tucked you in my heart … deep deep inside to carry on with me for the rest of this lifetime,” she wrote.
Looking back at the magical memories and his guidance and unconditional love, Esha wrote how what he has given her could never be replaced.
“The magical precious memories….. life lessons, the teachings, the guidance, the warmth, the unconditional love, the dignity and the strength you have given me as your daughter cannot be replaced or matched by any other,” the post added.
‘Painfully miss you, papa’
The gaping void would be hard to fill for Esha as the warm memories with her dad rush in to provide her some comfort.
“I so painfully miss you papa … your warm protective hugs that felt like the cosiest blanket, holding your soft yet strong hands which had unspoken messages & your voice calling out my name that followed with endless conversations, laughter & shayaris. Your motto “always be humble, be happy, healthy & strong.” she wrote.
She concluded her note with a promise to spread his love to millions and continue his legacy.
“I promise to continue your legacy with pride & respect. And I will try my best to spread your love to the millions who love you as I do. I love you papa.”
