K-drama fans, it’s time to settle to the score! The 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards ceremony is less than a month away. Ahead of the D-Day countdown commencement, K-media outlet Sports Chosun, which is behind the annual series, has released the full nominees list, honouring OTT greats that became the talk of the town this past year.
This year’s evaluations deemed original streaming content released from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, eligible for the big-league accolades. And so, fan-favourites shows like When Life Gives You Tangerines, Squid Game 2, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Family Matters, Way Back Love and more made the cut.
The Park Bo Gum and IU-led Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines especially passed with flying colours as the heartfelt series swept nearly all the drama categories. From Best Drama to Best Actor and Best Actress, the highly acclaimed slice-of-life drama a total of six nominations under its belt for this year’s Blue Dragon Series Awards.
Other popular picks stealing the show included Lomon’s Family Matters, Gong Myung and Kim Min Ha’s Way Back Love and Ju Ji Hoon-starrer The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. Park Eun Bin’s Disney+ series Hyper Knife and Hyeri’s Friendly Rivalry were some other titles to gain traction.
