Actor Allu Arjun has announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh for the family of a woman who in a tragic incident lost her life because of asphyxiation during the premiere screening of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad. The 42-year-old actor extended his condolences through a heartfelt video shared on X and also gave assurance to the grieved family with emotional and financial support. He also promises to meet the family in person and provide assistance in every possible way during this difficult time.
All about the incident
The unfortunate incident took place at the Sandhya Theatre in which a massive crowd gathered to get a glimpse of the actor during the movie’s premiere. A 35-year-old woman died because of asphyxiation because of the chaos whereas her 8-year-old son was in critical condition and was hospitalized.
Arjun stated that he was informed about the incident by next day and shared his heartfelt grief over the loss. He emphasized the irreplaceable loss and also offered financial support as a goodwill gesture to secure the future of the family.
The South star also gave his commitment to paying the medical expenses for the young boy who is still under intensive care. The child undergoing treatment needs to be monitored closely and needs to be given advance medical assistance as his condition is still critical.
A case has been filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally police station. The police have made the case based on the complaint by the deceased’s family. The cases have been filed under Sections 118 (1) and 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The press conference scheduled to be conducted by the Pushpa 2 team was cancelled and no official reason behind this was provided. Meanwhile, Arjun has appealed to his fans to prioritize safety while going to public events and he also pledged his commitment to avert such incidents in the future.
