Making his debut appearance on Marathi reality show – Chala Hawa Yeu Dya – Aamir Khan broke his own promise of staying away from appearing on any reality show for purpose of promoting his films. However, not only did Aamir make an exception to his rule by being part of the show he also celebrated his birthday on the set! He was accompanied by wife Kiran Rao.
Khan talked about his favorite Maharashtrian film, ate food on the show and even sang a song- that too in Marathi, as reported by DNA. And when he was asked by the host Nilesh Sable that whether he has seen Marathi films, on that Aamir replied that he has watched Natrang. Later after a pause, he sang Apsara Aali, that stunned everyone on the set. He then added that he loved the movies Fandry and Sairat. The Dangal actor also added that the Marathi industry is churning out brilliant films and that he would also like to produce or do one. He also mentioned that he was learning Marathi and by the time he would do a film, he would be fluent enough.
When Nilesh Sable asked Aamir about how much he liked Maharashtrian food, Aamir said that he loved it and that Misal Pav is his favorite. Aamir also celebrated his birthday on the sets of the TV show and cut a chocolate cake. Well just not Aamir but his colleagues Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan too have come on this show before, and Aamir was just following suit, except the effect was even more grander.
