2025 KBS Entertainment Awards winners: Park Bo Gum and Jun Hyun Moo win big.

Held on the same day as the Melon Music Awards, the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards took place on Saturday, December 20. We finally have the big winners of the day. The ceremony’s venue was KBS New Building Public Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It was hosted by Lee Chan Won, Lee Min Jung, and Moon Se Yoon.

As opposed to other major Korean award ceremonies focussed on honouring excellence in the K-pop and K-drama arenas, this particular show is all about celebrating stars who made indispensable contributions to the variety or reality TV segments this past year

A few titles were also conferred upon K-drama stars like Park Bo Gum, who was one among several others to win the Entertainer of the Year trophy, for their valuable appearances in variety shows. Mr House Husband became the Program of the Year, receiving 100% live votes during the show.

2025 KBS Entertainment Awards Daesang

Meanwhile, Korean TV personality and broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo bagged the Daesang, aka the Grand Prize, for Boss in the Mirror and Krazy Rich Korean. He beat out fellow contenders Park Bo Gum, Boom, Lee Chan Won, Kim Young Hee, Kim Sook and Kim Jong Min to secure the title.

It especially emerged as a big opportunity for the star host, as it was the first time he was winning the KBS Daesang.

Receiving the Grand Prize at his home network 20 years after becoming an announcer, the Jun was left speechless. His expression of bewilderment was even caught on camera. During his acceptance speech, Hyun Moo still remained in denial, saying that he thought Park Bo Gum would snag the title.

Jun particularly had a year filled with struggles, considering his name as a fellow entertainer dragged into the ‘injection auntie’ controversy alongside Park Na Rae. But even other than that, he opened up about his personal hardships triggered by his father’s illness.

“I’m juggling making people laugh while going back and forth to the hospital to care for my father, and it’s been physically exhausting,” he said after winning the KBS Daesang. ““I want to become a better person—someone my father can feel proud of when he looks at me. It’s been a very difficult year-end in many ways, and I hope that 2026 will bring only good things.”
