RRB Group D 2025 Application How to Apply: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the registration deadline for its ongoing recruitment drive for various Group D positions (CEN No. 08/2024). Initially set to close on February 22, the application window will now remain open until March 1. Interested candidates can apply via the official RRB website at rrbapply.gov.in.

The last date for fee payment has also been extended to March 3. Additionally, the modification window for corrections in application forms will be available from March 4 to March 13 upon payment of a modification fee.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 32,438 Level 1 positions under the 7th CPC pay matrix, offering roles such as Assistant Bridge, Assistant C&W, Assistant Depot (Stores), Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel), Track Maintainer, Cabin Man and Pointsman, among others.

How to apply for RRB Group D 2025 vacancy?

Step 1: Visit the official RRB website rrbapply.gov.in 

Step 2: Click on the RRB Recruitment 2025 link.

Step 3: Enter the required registration details.

Step 4: Log in to the portal. 

Step 5: Fill in the application form and pay the fee. 

Step 6: Submit the form.

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for reference.

Application fee and refund details

Applicants must pay a fee of Rs 500, which will be refunded (after deducting bank charges) upon appearing for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). For candidates from categories such as PWBD, SC, ST, ex-servicemen, minority communities and EBC, the fee is reduced to Rs 250, also refundable after deduction of bank charges.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years old as of January 1, 2025, with a one-time 3-year age relaxation granted due to missed opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Applicants must also meet the required medical standards for their chosen positions.

The initial pay for these positions is Rs 18,000. Applicants currently employed in government sectors are eligible to apply directly. Candidates should ensure that their date of birth matches official documents, such as their Matriculation or SSLC certificate.
