IIT JEE Advanced result 2017: In another mega success, all 30 students of Super-30, an institute which provides free coaching for economically backwards sections, passed the entrance examination for IIT-JEE – the result was announced today at 10 a.m. by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT, Madras). “These students have shown, if given a chance they can do anything,” Anand Kumar, founder, Super-30 told ANI. Last year, 28 out of 30 candidates qualified for JEE Advance results. Significantly, the successful students from the known Academy of mathematician Anand Kumar, usually belong to the wards of a marginal farmers, daily wagers and small time teachers. Run at the residence of Anand Kumar in Patna, Super-30 provides free education to underprivileged sections, along with food and lodging. Last year, Kumar was a little disappointed as two of the students couldn’t make it to IITs. “I would have been happier had all the 30 students made it. But it cannot be always like that. I wish all the success to those who have not been able to make it. They will certainly excel in their chosen fields,” Kumar had said. However, this year, all 30 candidates got through the examination. Since its inception in 2002, Super 30 has made extraordinary results in JEE exam and the feat was appreciated around the world.
Earlier, Kumar had said it is the bureaucrats who can bring real change in the society as they work at the grassroots. Kumar, addressing a batch of IAS trainees at the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration, said, “More than the political leadership, it is the bureaucrats who can really bring change, for they are the persons who shape programmes and policies at the grassroots and have the wherewithal to ensure that the benefits reach the targeted groups in right measures.”
Earlier too, Kumar had said it was just a matter of making available right opportunities to the right people at the right time to witness generational change. As per a Press Trust of India report, over 400 Super 30 students mentored by Anand, and looked after by his family have made it to the IITs so far.
