A major recruitment drive is underway at Maharshi Dayanand University in Haryana’s Rohtak to enlist over 10,000 skilled Indian construction workers for employment opportunities in Israel. The initiative, facilitated through an agreement between the governments of India and Israel, is organized by the Skill Development Corporation.
The Haryana government, spearheading this effort, is specifically targeting skilled professionals such as carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and welders for recruitment under the skill employment program. Maharishi Dayanand University’s PRO Sunit Mukherjee noted the substantial interest generated by the initiative, attracting individuals not only from Haryana but also from other states.

“People who reached here told us that they came to know about the recruitment through the media, in which a salary of more than one lakh has been mentioned and people want to go to Israel to earn money despite the war-like situation,” Mukherjee said. He claimed that people are determined to pursue opportunities in Israel despite the ongoing war-like situation.
