A final-year B.Tech student at IIIT Prayagraj made waves this week after securing a record-setting job offer from a foreign firm. Vipul Jain was offered an annual sum of Rs 1.45 crore by US-based cloud data firm Rubrik — the highest in the history of the institute. IIT Prayagraj also saw a whopping 70 students recruited with packages between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 69 lakh during its latest campus placement drive. IIT Prayagraj’s Director, Prof. Mukul Sharad Sutawane, praised Vipul’s achievement, calling it a proud moment for the entire campus. “This reflects not only the calibre of our students but also how far we have come in redefining the standards of technical education in the country,” he said.
But Jain’s success is only the tip of the iceberg. The 2025 placement drive at IIIT Prayagraj has turned out to be one of its most remarkable to date. A total of 13 graduating students also secured landmark offers ranging between Rs 70 and Rs 99 lakh.
The latest placement season has been highly successful, receiving widespread praise as nearly all students secured offers. A significant number of students received lucrative packages from multinational firms, demonstrating their readiness for the global tech stage.
