Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a fresh death threat that threatened to enter his house and also blow up his car with a bomb. The threat has come exactly after a year when gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Bandra residence.
The threat was issued by an unidentified person via a WhatsApp message that was sent to the Mumbai’s Transport Department in Worli. Although authorities are still checking the source and authenticity of the threat, media reports suggest that a case has already been registered against the person at the Worli Police Station.
Salman Khan has received multiple death threats over the past few years from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has repeatedly been targeting the actor over his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The blackbuck is considered of extreme significance for the Bishnoi community.
The Bishnoi gang had also threatened Khan in 2024. According to media reports, their demand was for the actor to either visit a temple and publicly apologise for the alleged blackbuck poaching case or pay a sum of Rs 5 crore. Later, on October 30, he was again threatened by an unknown person and was demanded a sum of Rs 2 crore.
That same year, two unidentified people tried to enter Khan’s Panvel farmhouse using fake IDs. In 2023, a threatening email believed to be from gangster Goldy Brar was also sent for Salman Khan. In 2022, a letter with a threat was found on a bench near his home.
Due to these ongoing threats, security around Salman Khan has been increased multiple times. At a recent press event in Mumbai, Salman had addressed the issue calmly. He said he believes his life is in the hands of a higher power and that he will live as long as fate allows.
He also shared how the threats have changed his lifestyle. Khan now avoids public outings and only travels between his house and shooting locations. He said he feels fine when surrounded by media, but without them, he feels restricted. For now, his routine is strictly from home to film sets and back.
