Two big storms are on their way to the mountains in Western India. The first one will be approaching today (Tuesday) and the second one will be approaching on April 5th, 2024. These storms are expected to bring some rain and snow to the western Himalayan region for about a week. From April 3rd to April 5th, there will be some rain in the nearby plains of Northwest India too.
Meanwhile, heat wave alert was out in North interior Karnataka from April 2nd till April 5th. Very hot weather can be expected in some small areas of North Interior Karnataka. Rayalaseema, East Madhya Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal will also see very hot weather conditions from tomorrow till April 5th.
Today, the lowest temperatures recorded is 3-5°C higher than usual in many areas of East Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra. In Bihar, temperatures are above normal in a few places. In Odisha, temperatures are higher than usual in some isolated areas.
Thunderstorms and Lightning:
During April 3rd to April 5th, there might be some thunderstorms and lightning in specific areas like Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Uttar Pradesh.
Northeastern States:
There are two circular weather patterns over northeast Assam and northeast Bihar. Moisture from the Bay of Bengal is moving into northeastern states.
Rain Expected:
From today until April 5th, there will be some rain in areas like Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
