The India Meteorological Department has notified in its latest morning bulletin that moderate rains along with thunderstorms and lightning will fall across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, South Interior Karnataka, and Mahe today (November 4, 2024). Rayalaseema, Yanam, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh may receive it on November 7. Moreover, similar weather conditions are likely to prevail in Tripura, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur on November 5 and November 6.

The Met Department has predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 5 November 6 November. Moderate to dense fog is likely to cover the northeast of Uttar Pradesh during the early morning of November 4.

Slight weather changes are expected in North and Central India

No major changes in the minimum and maximum temperatures have been forecasted for North and Central India for the coming three to four days. In Delhi, the Weather Department has stated that there will be a clear sky and the surface winds are likely to remain variable. During the early morning and night time, light smog along with shallow fog is expected to be present in the national capital.

Delhi’s AQI Update

Delhi’s air quality recorded the highest number of overall AQI of 382 on Sunday. Several stations recorded AQI readings to be more than 400 and indicated ”severe category”, as per the latest data. The city also recorded its coldest temperature of this season in the nighttime as dense fog and haze engulfed the area in the morning and evening. The weather prediction for Monday indicates mild fog in the morning and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius.
