Vibrant Gujarat Summit LIVE updates Day 2: The 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was inaugurated on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The presence of leaders worldwide fosters networking opportunities and potential collaborations between Gujarat and various nations and this is the summit’s global appeal.
This Summit is a platform aimed at fostering economic growth, investments, and international partnerships. Showcasing Gujarat as an investment hub, this event underscores its significance with Prime Minister Modi’s participation, emphasizing the state’s economic potential.
Today, January 12, 2024, marks the third day of the three-day event. At this summit, 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations are actively participating, bringing together a distinguished assembly of global leaders, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, and CEOs of multinational corporations from various nations. Prime Minister Modi is set to engage in bilateral discussions with key figures such as Toshihiro Suzuki of Suzuki Motor Corp, Keith Svendsen of AP Moller, Sanjay Mehrotra of Micron Technology, Piruz Khambatta, Chairman of Rasna Private Limited, and others. Prominent Indian executives, including Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, will also be present at the event.
The 2015 summit witnessed 21,304 MoUs, while the 2017 edition recorded 24,774 deals, with approximately 70% coming to fruition. Officials expressed confidence that this year’s MoUs will achieve an impressive realization rate of 90%.
Led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 has made history. In 2022, due to COVID-19, the Summit was postponed, but then, 57,241 projects with investments of INR 18.87 lakh crores were signed. In the 10th edition in 2024, 41,299 projects worth INR 26.33 lakh crores were signed, marking a landmark for Gujarat with MoUs for investments exceeding INR 45 lakh crores across 98,540 projects.
Member of NITI Aayog, Shri V. K. Saraswat, stated that under the 'Mission Green Hydrogen', inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the goal is to produce five million metric tons of green hydrogen in India by 2030, with Gujarat expected to make the maximum contribution.
The Gujarat government and the UK signed five MoUs for cyber cooperation, fostering a strategic alliance in cybersecurity and technology collaboration between the UK industry and the state. The agreement, witnessed by HM Harsh Sanghavi and the UK State Minister, emphasizes strengthening ties in these crucial domains.
In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the New Development Bank (NDB) and the state government's road construction department exchanged project loan agreements. NDB will provide knowledge support, emphasizing rural road improvement, integrating new road construction technology, endorsing environmental preservation, and implementing safe road designs. The assistance includes materials like geosynthetics, geotextiles, geogrids, and lime stabilization, covering about 1,200 km for all-weather roads with an environmental focus.
As a part of the Vibrant Summit-2024, a project loan agreement was finalized between the New Development Bank (NDB) and the Gujarat Government, with Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in attendance. The Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Gujarat will receive a $500 million loan from the New Development Bank (NDB).
Today, several ministers, CEOs, and global representatives have allied together to discuss crucial economic elements including, MSME, B2B / B2G, Clean Energy, Green hydrogen hub, waste to energy, Net zero, and a state seminar focusing on the northeastern region.

The MSME Conclave is being conducted in the Main Convention Hall, Mahatma Mandir where 20 speakers from different backgrounds are invited to address the micro, small, and medium enterprises.
