Uttar Pradesh: Sleeper bus overturns on Lucknow-Agra Expressway, 38 injured

A sleeper bus overturned in the Tivra police station area, injuring 38 passengers, officials reported. The accident took place on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway around 12:15 AM on Saturday (September 21).

Circle Officer Priyanka Vajpayee stated that the bus, en route to Delhi from Gonda and carrying 80 passengers, struck the divider before overturning. “A sleeper bus on its way to Delhi from Gonda, carrying 80 passengers, hit the divider and overturned,” she said.

The injured individuals have been taken to the hospital, with three in critical condition. Passengers reported the driver was drunk.
