All Part Meeting Operation Sindoor: A day after the Operation Sindoor when the Indian armed forces successfully raked out nine terrorist camps, an All Party Meeting in New Delhi was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Attended by key opposition leaders and Union Ministers it was held at the Parliament today at 11 AM on May 8. The key point of discussion was Operation Sindoor’s key achievements the future path it will take. As shared in the meeting, it is “still ongoing”. It was noted that Prime Minister Modi was absent from the meeting. The government also mentioned that Operation Sindoor is still underway and thus technical details were not revealed.

Also present on the panel were Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and leader of Oppositon Rahul Gandhi among others. Chairing the meeting, Rajnath Singh shared that Operation Sindoor took alteast 100 lives of terrorists. Opposition leaders alike, the meeting ended on a positive note and support was extended to the Government and armed forces.

Kiren Rijiju: “Political parties are the voice of the people…”

Union Minister of Parliamentary affairs shared with ANI that, “Political parties are the voice of the people and the leaders speaking in one voice. I think it is also one of our successes… It is not good to tell about the continuation of things that are going on after the first strike of Operation Sindoor, and hence, officials were not called in the meeting.” His take on misinformation was widely appreciated in a time of crisis as this. He urged the people to not trust fake news and propaganda being spread about the country. Extending his support to the government and urging for unity, he noted that PM Modi was absent from the all-party meeting.

Malikaarjun Kharge “we all are with the government”

Rajya Sabha MP and Leader of Opposition when questioned about PM Modi’s absence he said that even if “PM Modi thinks he is above the Parliament, we will see when time comes”. Noting his absence in the previous briefing as well, he reaffirmed his stand on Operation Sindoor and said that this is a time of crisis and we stand with the armed forces. “In the meeting, we heard what they (Centre) had to say. They also said that certain confidential information cannot be shared outside. We told them that we all are with the government. “

Asaduddin Owaisi urging a “global campaign against The Resistance Front (TRF)”

The All India Council for Unity of Muslims (AIMIM) chief shared with ANI his suggestions regarding the future steps on the terrorist body that took responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack, The Resistance Front (TRF). He urged that the TRF be made declared a terrorist group by the United Nations Security Council. Additionally, he said that following the Operation Sindoor, it is a “golden opportunity in Kashmir to confront Pakistan and adopt Kashmiris. Those who have lost their lives in Poonch should be declared terrorist victims, and the government should compensate and provide houses for them, as they lost everything because of Pakistan’s ceasefire violations”. He also suggested that Pakistan be grey-listed as a part of the FATF.

Sasmit Patra reaffirms BJD’s stance on Operation Sindoor

Bijoo Janata Dal’s Sasmit Patra reaffirmed the party’s appreciation for Operation Sindoor. Presenting the statement of the party president her said,”The BJD reiterates its firm, steadfast, and resolute support to our armed forces in taking whatever steps deemed necessary to safeguard the sovereignty of our nation and protect the lives of our citizens from terrorism.”

Sanjay Singh discussed “ongoing” Operation Sindoor

Aam Admi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh, after the all party meeting shared the information revealed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh that Operation Sindoor took out 100 terrorists. While mentioning that it was an “ongoing mission” he said that “images were revealed that Pakistani army officials, terrorists banned by the US were present in the terrorist camps. It is now a open matter that Pakistan and its government stands in favour of terrorism.” He told ANI that the incident in Poonch were also discussed while the government reassured that every development is being observed carefully and “every action will have a reciprocal reaction” from India’s end.

Pramod Tiwari opines “PM Modi was in Delhi…”

Congress MP reiterated his the party’s stand on Operation Sindoor and that they stood by the government and actions the Indian Army deems fit. Standing against terror, his stance was firm and clear. However, he mentioned that “it would have been better if the PM had been there” regarding the all-party meeting.
