Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh, the son of N Chandrababu Naidu who is currently incarcerated in connection with the skill development scam case, met with Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday.

During their meeting, Lokesh expressed his concerns for his father’s safety and raised allegations against Andhra Pradesh’s YSRCP government. He alleged that there is a blatant misuse of state machinery by the government, as reported by ANI.

In a post on X after the meeting with Amit Shah, Lokesh stated, “I met with the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Amit Shah Ji, and apprised him of the blatant misuse of state machinery by the YSRCP Government in Andhra Pradesh. I also raised concerns about the retaliatory actions against Hon’ble N Chandrababu Naidu Garu and the dire conditions in which he is currently detained in prison, where his life is potentially under threat.”

Former CM Chandrababu Naidu has been charged in the Amaravati Inner Road alignment and the FiberNet scam-related cases, along with the skill development case.

Naidu has been in judicial remand at the Rajahmundry Central Jail in Andhra Pradesh since September 11 in connection with the skill development scam. The ACB Special Court in Vijayawada extended Naidu’s judicial remand until October 19.

Naidu’s bail petition was rejected by the ACB court on Monday in the skill development case.

Furthermore, Lokesh’s meeting with Shah occurred the day after the Andhra Pradesh CID commenced its interrogation of Naidu in relation to the Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam case.

Nara Lokesh was also questioned by the CID in the Inner Ring Road case for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. Later, he informed the media that the CID officials posed unrelated questions during the investigation.

Despite the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s directive to attend for only one day, he willingly participated in the second day of questioning, he mentioned. Lokesh asserted that he had nothing to hide and attended the second day’s questioning based on the instructions of the CID officials.
