The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a judicial probe into the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa. The commission of inquiry will be set up and headed by a retired judge of the Madras high court. The name of the judge will be announced later. The government has also announced that Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai for which a pitched ownership battle is in full swing among various stakeholders, will now be turned into a memorial.
