Current health status of Sonia Gandhi
Gandhi’s condition is currently stable and has been kept under observation as confirmed by the hospital. ‘’She underwent a routine check-up and is now stable and is under observation,’’ as reported by ANI.
Gandhi was last seen in public during the Budget session of the Rajya Sabha last week. She turned 78 in December 2024. During the session in parliament, she raised her concern related to the delay in the census process, pointing out that it has been postponed for four years, unlikely to be conducted this year as well.
Underlining the importance of the National Food Security Act (NFSA), launched by the UPA government in 2013, Gandhi restated its importance in ensuring food security for India’s population. ‘’The National Food Security Act (NFSA) launched by the UPA government in September 2013 was a milestone initiative aimed at ensuring food and national security to the country’s 140 crore population. This legislation plays a significant role in supporting millions of vulnerable households, especially during the Covid-19 crisis. It is the act that provides the basis of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ‘’ she mentioned in the Parliament as quoted by ANI.
Further health updates are likely to come as she continues to be under medical supervision.
