Air India has announced significant enhancements to its international route network, starting in 2025. The airline will deploy its best aircraft to key gateways in Southeast Asia and Europe, following its recent upgrades on US and UK routes with flagship A350 and B777 aircraft featuring revamped cabin interiors. These changes aim to deliver greater travel flexibility, premium experiences, and seamless intercontinental connections between North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia via hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.

Revamped A320neo Elevates Travel on the Delhi-Bangkok Route

Starting January 16, 2025, Air India will operate its retrofitted A320neo aircraft exclusively on the Delhi-Bangkok route. These planes feature fully refreshed three-class interiors—Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class—alongside Vista Stream, Air India’s wireless inflight entertainment service. Passengers can enjoy over 1,600 hours of content on their devices.

Additionally, Air India will introduce a fourth daily service on the Delhi-Bangkok route from January 1, 2025, raising the frequency to four flights daily. This move ensures evenly spaced departures throughout the day, catering to both business and leisure travellers. With Bangkok’s growing importance as a travel hub, the increased frequency offers seamless one-stop connections to North America and Europe via Delhi, enabling easy access from cities like New York, Chicago, Toronto, London, Paris, and Frankfurt.

Upgraded Interiors on Frankfurt and Singapore Flights

Air India is deploying upgraded A321neo and B787-9 aircraft, previously operated by Vistara, on several key routes:

  • Delhi-Frankfurt and Mumbai-Frankfurt: Operating with B787-9 aircraft.
  • Delhi-Singapore: Daily B787-9 and twice-daily A321neo flights from January 1, 2025.
  • Mumbai-Singapore: Twice-daily A321neo flights from January 1, 2025.

These aircraft feature fully flat beds in Business Class, Premium Economy availability, and immersive inflight entertainment on HD screens. Notably, the A321neo is one of the few single-aisle aircraft in Asia offering fully flat beds in Business Class. WiFi internet connectivity is also available onboard, catering to the needs of business and leisure travellers alike.

The revised Singapore schedules enhance connectivity for passengers travelling to or from North America, Canada, and Europe via Delhi or Mumbai.

Redesigned Schedules for Frankfurt, Paris, and Beyond”

From February 1, 2025, Air India will implement optimized schedules for the following routes:

  • Delhi-Frankfurt and Delhi-Paris: Offering daytime and nighttime departures in both directions.
  • Delhi-Sydney and Delhi-Melbourne: Retimed for seamless connectivity between Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

This strategic timing adjustment ensures convenient one-stop connections for travellers from Europe to destinations in Australia and Southeast Asia, including Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City via Delhi.

These updates mark Air India’s continued focus on providing premium travel experiences and expanding global connectivity. With a modernised fleet and enhanced schedules, Air India is poised to strengthen its position as a leading player in international aviation, catering to the growing demand for seamless intercontinental travel.
