Delhi New CM Name announcement: Ending days of suspense, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (February 19) appointed Rekha Gupta as the next Chief Minister of Delhi. The announcement followed a BJP legislature party meeting held at the party’s Delhi office on Wednesday evening. Gupta, 50, an MLA from Shalimar Bagh constituency, secured a victory over Aam Aadmi Party’s Bandana Kumari in the recently concluded Assembly elections. Additionally, Parvesh Verma is set to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.
