YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia has approached the Supreme Court seeking the clubbing of multiple FIRs filed against him over allegedly obscene remarks made during his guest appearance on the show India’s Got Latent. Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, after hearing a request from Allahabadia’s lawyer, stated that the case will be listed for hearing soon.

The controversy erupted after Allahabadia posed an inappropriate question to a contestant: “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or join in once and stop it forever?” The video triggered widespread backlash and condemnation on social media.

Following public outrage, the Maharashtra Cyber Department registered an FIR against Allahabadia, comedian and show’s host Samay Raina and other artists associated with India’s Got Latent for allegedly creating and promoting obscene content.

Police officials revealed that the Cyber Department has invoked relevant sections of the IT Act and demanded the removal of all 18 episodes of the comedy show. Investigators found that participants and guests frequently used “vulgar and obscene” language.
