Radhika Yadav murder case: Radhika Yadav, the 25-year-old tennis player was shot dead by her father in Gurugram. While the investigation is underway, financial independence is being explored as a trigger instigating the crime. Starring opposite her in a music video was Inam-ul-Haq, who denied having any connection with Radhika after the video was shot.

In an interview with ANI, Inam shared they met at a shoot for the Tennis Player League. After connecting on social media, they barely interacted as per Inam. “I met her (Radhika) for the first time in the Tennis Premier League… After that, I met her in a music video. She was an actor to me,” he said.

From the interview, it was revealed that he didn’t delve much into her personal or familial life. However, he did mention that Radhika’s mother was present on set when they were shooting the video. “She even mentioned that her father liked the song,” Inam said, implying that he had given her permission to go for the shooting.

“On the set, she also mentioned that her father liked the song, which means she took permission from her father also…When we met her for the first time, she told us that she wants to work in this line (film line)…She desired to work in this line…After that, we never met,” Inam told ANI.

He shared that she deactivated her social media account during the promotions of her shoot as she hardly made an effort to promote the song. Moreover, as per Inam, her grandfather has passed away during the similar timeline as the shoot.

Why did her father shoot Radhika Yadav?

Gurugram police shared the statement from Yadav’s father and said that neighbours mocked him for living off his daughter’s income. While her social media presence was speculated as the reason behind the murder, the police probe also focuses on her tennis academy job, to which her father had profusely opposed.
