Pune Water Supply Shutdown: Pune residents will face a full-day water supply shutdown on Thursday, April 3, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) undertakes critical maintenance at multiple water treatment plants and pumping stations. The water supply will be restored gradually on Friday, April 4, but some areas may experience low pressure in the morning, according to reports.
Several localities across Pune will be impacted, including:
Central Pune: Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Nana Peth, Lohia Nagar, Mukund Nagar, Ghorpade Peth, Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Lake Town, Shivtejanagar, Upper Indiranagar.
Western Pune: Deccan, Shivajinagar, Swargate, Katraj, Ambegaon, Dhankawadi, Hingne, Sinhagad Road.
Eastern Pune: Lohgaon, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Yerwada, Dhanori.
North-West Pune: Baner, Balewadi, Bavdhan, Pashan, Aundh, Model Colony, Gokhale Nagar, Kothrud, Karve Nagar.
South-East Pune & IT Hubs: Hadapsar, Mundhwa, Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Kharadi, EON IT Park, Chandan Nagar.
PMC’s advisory to residents
The PMC has urged residents to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously during the outage. While supply is expected to resume by Friday afternoon, some areas might experience low pressure before full restoration. Citizens are advised to plan accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
