The Indian Army has confirmed, however, that a JCO lost his life at LoC in Akhnoor Sector as the infiltration bid has been foiled by Indian Army. Previously, this module has been held responsible for taking out an Army team in Doda causing the death of an officer and a rifleman.
There have been five encounters in the past 19 days in the mountainous terrain of Kathua-Udhampur-Kishtwar.
