BJP president and Union Minister JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing the opposition party of acting as the “spokesperson of urban naxals” and promoting divisive forces in the country.
He made these remarks on Thursday while addressing a BJP membership drive meeting in Odisha. “The Congress has become the spokesperson of urban naxals and is encouraging disintegrative forces in the country,” Nadda said during his speech to a gathering of intellectuals who recently joined the BJP.

Nadda criticised Congress for its stance on Article 370 and the abolition of triple talaq, contrasting it with the BJP’s approach. He claimed that while Congress operates in silos, the BJP follows a collaborative approach.
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we advance with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,”’he asserted.

The BJP is the only true national party, operating democratically with a dedicated cadre and mass following, he said, adding that the BJP’s structure ensures leaders rise from the grassroots.
He further highlighted the BJP’s ongoing membership drive, stating that the party’s membership had crossed 6 crore in the latest phase. “On September 2, Prime Minister became the first member, followed by me, Amit Shah, and the Defence Minister. Today, our membership has surpassed 6 crore in this latest drive,” he said.
Nadda was warmly received upon his arrival in the state capital by party leaders including Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
