At least 14 people were injured in a cylinder blast that took place in Mumbai’s Dharavi, news agency ANI reported on Sunday. The injured have been rushed to the Sion Hospital and no casualty has been reported as now.

The blast took place at around 12:30 pm in Dharavi’s Shahu Nagar. Preliminary reports suggest there was a cylinder leakage which caught fire. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Reports suggested that two of the 14 sustained major burn injuries while the remaining got minor injuries.

Fire fighters were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Rescue teams are working to ensure no more injured is trapped inside.
