A massive fire broke out at Dilli Haat, the renowned open-air cultural and handicrafts market in Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi, on Wednesday evening (April 30). The Delhi Fire Service received the emergency call at around 8:55 PM and swiftly dispatched 13 fire tenders to the site to tackle the blaze. The fire reportedly started inside one of the shops within the market premises.

An official from the Delhi Fire Service confirmed the incident, stating, “We received a call regarding fire at Dilli Haat Market INA at 8.55 pm and have deployed 13 fire engines at the spot. Further operation is underway.” Firefighters acted promptly, managing to bring the situation under control and preventing the flames from spreading further across the bustling market area.
