The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively engaged in rescue operations in the Kedarnath Valley, with Mi-17 and ALH helicopters operating from Guptkashi and Chinook helicopters flying from Gaucher helipad. These aircraft have been crucial in carrying out multiple sorties, evacuating stranded individuals from the affected areas within the Kedarnath Valley.

Since early this morning, the IAF has successfully dropped 800 kg of relief material in the impacted zones. In addition to the material drops, 94 individuals, including children and patients, have been rescued as part of the ongoing relief efforts.

Search Operations in Rudraprayag

Meanwhile, dog squads led by District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) Nandan Singh Rajawar initiated search operations from Rambara to Bhimbali area in Rudraprayag on Monday. These teams are working diligently to locate missing persons in the region.

In a parallel effort, under the supervision of security forces, 100 people were transported from Kedarnath Dham to Lincholi helipad on Monday. These individuals were subsequently airlifted and transferred to Shersi helipad for further safety.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams continue their exhaustive search in the forests surrounding the Mandakini River, focusing on locating and rescuing individuals trapped in the challenging terrain.
