The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted an isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and hailstorm activities are likely over several parts including Gujarat, southeast Rajasthan, southwest Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan, Tamil Nadu, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha. Meanwhile, hailstorms are also likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand on Monday.

Cyclonic circulation

Due to the presence of cyclonic Circulation near the south Andaman sea, a Low Pressure Area is expected to form in adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal by Tuesday. Then, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal around November 29.

  • West Bengal and Sikkim: Kolkata will experience mainly clear sky today with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 29 and 20 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather is most likely over Sikkim and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
