In a shocking development in the Himani Narwal murder case, CCTV footage has surfaced showing the accused, Sachin, carrying a black suitcase through a street, which allegedly contained the victim’s body. The police have verified the footage.
Sachin, a “friend” of Congress worker Himani Narwal, was arrested earlier today for allegedly strangling her with a mobile charger cord after an argument at her home in Rohtak, before placing her body in the suitcase.
Haryana Police arrested Sachin on Monday for the alleged crime. Himani’s body was discovered stuffed in a suitcase in Rohtak on Saturday, prompting the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the murder.

Speaking to reporters in Rohtak, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) K.K. Rao stated that the accused, Sachin, hails from Jhajjar district, where he operates a mobile phone shop, and was arrested in Delhi.
Rao described the murder as one with few initial leads. “After discovering the body, we formed eight teams, including the SIT. Our immediate priority was to identify the victim. Once her family identified her, we conducted swift investigations to locate the accused.”
Rao revealed that Sachin had been in contact with Himani via social media for the past one and a half years and had regularly visited her home.
Himani lived alone in Vijay Nagar. On February 27, Sachin visited her, and a heated argument broke out between them, allegedly over money.
According to police reports, Sachin, a married man with no political affiliations, strangled Himani with a mobile phone charger cord, killing her instantly.
Sachin was presented in a Rohtak court on Monday and was remanded to police custody for three days.
Rao also stated that after the murder, Sachin took Himani’s jewelry, laptop, and ring, riding her scooter to Jhajjar, where he hid these items at his shop.
That same night, he returned to her home, placed her body in a black suitcase, and boarded an auto-rickshaw with both the suitcase and a quilt stained with blood.
He then got off near the Sampla bus stand, likely to mislead the investigation, according to Rao.
