The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and the Azad Samaj Party (ASP) have released their joint manifesto for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, scheduled for October 5. The alliance promises to procure all grains at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), provide a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 11,000, and offer old age pensions of Rs 5,100.
During a press conference in Sirsa, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala asserted that every crop grown in Haryana would be purchased at MSP. The manifesto includes provisions for Rs 25,000 compensation per acre for crop damage and the introduction of the ‘Jannayak Fasal Suraksha Scheme,’ with premiums covered by the state government.
The alliance has also announced initiatives to support students, stating that rural students will receive extra weightage in job placements and admissions to higher education. A nominal fee of Rs 100 will be charged for all recruitment applications. Additionally, girls from poor families who pass their Class 12 exams will be awarded scooties.
To appeal to women voters, the manifesto promises 100,000 government jobs for women, the construction of a hostel for working women in Gurugram, and an international training center for food processing in Fatehabad. A monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 will be provided to pregnant women for care and nutrition.
In terms of education and infrastructure, the manifesto proposes a research center for artificial intelligence in Panchkula, the development of Bhiwani as an education city, and a digital library in every village. The purchase of two-wheelers will be made tax-free, similar to tractors, and youth from low-income families will have access to interest-free loans of up to Rs 3 lakh for business ventures.
The alliance aims to boost sports by constructing an international sports stadium in Jhajjar and a kabaddi stadium in Sonipat, alongside shooting ranges in four districts.
In promoting industrial growth, industrial areas will be established in every district, creating employment for 100,000 youths. The manifesto also includes a pledge for three percent reservation for disabled individuals and the establishment of welfare centers for backward classes.
Other significant promises include restoring the old pension scheme for government employees, launching mobile dispensaries at the block level, and setting up generic medicine shops in villages. Furthermore, a modern film city will be established in Hisar to promote arts and cinema.
Led by former MP Ajay Singh Chautala and ASP leader Chandra Shekhar Azad, the alliance aims to make a significant impact in the upcoming elections.
