Even after 15 hours of continuously trying to douse the massive fire at Haldiram factory in Noida’s Sector 68, fire brigade officials have still not been able to do so, reports Livehindustan.com. Reportedly, the fire which was caused due to an explosion in a boiler has been difficult to tackle with because of the presence of highly flammable substances inside the factory.
The Haldiram factory in Noida makes different types of food products. According to the report, the fire broke out around the shift change when the workers were about to leave. More than 25 fire engines were put to the task but when the fire could not be doused till late at night, fire engines from other districts were called in. In addition to gas cylinders, the factory had other highly inflammable material which made it next to impossible for the fire officials to get the fire under control.
Moreover, according to the report in Livehindustan.com, none of the anti-fire systems in the Haldiram factory were working. Additionally, the first fire engine reached the Haldiram factory half an hour late followed by others, according to reports. Traffic caused by rains in Noida further added to the delays.

The fire is expected to affect Haldiram supply as it is one of the biggest plots where several types of products are made, a company official told Livehindustan.com.
The massive fire in Haldiram factory located at sector 68 had broken out at around 7 PM on Wednesday evening. Around 50 workers were inside the factory when the fire broke out but all of them fortunately managed to leave safely. No loss of life or injuries have been reported from the incident yet.
