Noida Cops Traffic Advisory Today: Several farmer organizations, including the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP), Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), have announced a march to Delhi on Monday (December 2) to demand compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws.
The movement will be led by BKP leader Sukhbir Khalifa, with the first group assembling at the Maha Maya flyover in Noida at noon. “We are ready for our march towards Delhi. Tomorrow, on December 2, we will begin our journey under the Maha Maya flyover,” Khalifa told ANI.
Traffic advisory issued
To manage the expected influx of protesters and prevent traffic chaos, Noida authorities have released a detailed advisory, urging commuters to plan ahead and use alternate routes. The Delhi Police and Gautam Buddh Nagar Police will conduct stringent checks at border points, The authorities have also imposed traffic diversions and restrictions on heavy vehicles.
Heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering Delhi through major routes, including the Yamuna Expressway, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Surajpur. Moreover, alternate routes have been suggested to maintain traffic flow.
List of suggested alternate routes
1. From Chilla Border to Greater Noida: Take the Sector 14-A flyover, continue via Golchakkar in Sector-15, and proceed through Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Jhunjhupura Chowk.
2. From DND Border to Delhi: Use the Film City flyover, proceed through Sector-18, and access the Elevated Road.
3. From Kalindi Border to Delhi: Take the Mahamaya flyover, continue via Sector-37.
4. From Greater Noida to Delhi: Use the Charkha Golchakkar and proceed through Kalindi Kunj.
5. For Yamuna Expressway travelers: Exit at Jewar toll, proceed to Khurja, and continue via Jahangirpur.
6. From Peripheral Expressway: Avoid the Sirska exit, using Dadri or Dasna instead.
The authorities have recommended using the Delhi Metro to bypass road disruptions and to keep track of live traffic updates through news outlets or the Noida traffic helpline at 9971009001. The traffic authorities have also put in place priority routes that will ensure unhindered passage for ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
The protest is taking place as farmers demand for better compensation and recognition under the new agricultural laws. While authorities are working to minimize disruptions, the march reflects on the growing discontent among the farming community.
