The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, naming senior leader Manish Sisodia to contest from the Jangpura seat.

Avadh Ojha, UPSC teacher who recently joined AAP, has been fielded from the Patparganj seat, currently held by Sisodia.

The list also includes Jintender Singh Shunty, who will contest from Shahdara, and Surinder Pal Singh Bittu, fielded from Timarpur. Both Shunty and Bittu recently left the BJP to join AAP.

Shunty will replace Ram Niwas Goel, the sitting AAP MLA and Speaker of the outgoing Assembly, while Bittu will contest in place of Dilip Pandey, AAP’s chief whip.

The AAP had earlier announced 11 candidates in its first list. The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place before February.
