Fire erupted in waste material at a construction site near the Janpath roundabout on Sunday, reported news agency PTI. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
“We received several reports of a fire at the site. Six fire vehicles were dispatched, and it was determined that the fire originated from waste material. Our teams successfully extinguished the flames,” stated a DFS official.

The facility is part of the Union government’s ambitious Central Vista project, currently under construction.
After a call was received from near Vayu Seva Bhavan at Kartavya Path near Janpath roundabout, eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire was later extinguished, the Indian Express reported.
