A Delhi court on Wednesday granted former JNU scholar Umar Khalid interim bail for seven days in the UAPA case related to the 2020 North-East Delhi riots.
Additional Sessions Judge Sameer Bajpai of Karkardooma Courts allowed Khalid’s bail to attend a family wedding, imposing strict conditions. Khalid is prohibited from contacting any witness or anyone linked to the case and is barred from using social media during the interim bail period.
These restrictions aim to ensure no interference with the ongoing proceedings while Khalid remains temporarily released.
