Delhi Budget 2025 Kheer Ceremony Today: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta commenced the Delhi Budget session with a special ‘Kheer Ceremony’ on Monday. The Delhi Budget will be tabled on Tuesday, March 25.

The five-day session will begin at 11 AM on Monday with a special ‘kheer ceremony’. On the first day, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report for the Delhi Transport Corporation for 2024 is expected to be presented.

This Budget Session is important as it follows the recent 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, where the BJP returned to power after 27 years. This is the second session of the new government. The first one was held from February 24 to March 3.

How much was allocated to the Delhi Budget last year?

The last Delhi Budget was presented by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in March 2023, with a total allocation of Rs 76,000 crore. The theme of the 2024 Budget, which was presented by Atishi, was “Ram Rajya.”

Viksit Bharat: Theme for this year’s Delhi Budget

The BJP‘s Budget for this year, with the theme “Viksit Delhi,” will focus on incorporating suggestions from the public, collected through discussions with various groups, including women, teachers, farmers, and businesspeople.

The session will start with a Question Hour, followed by Special Mention (Rule-280), where MLAs will raise issues related to their constituencies.

On Tuesday, the second day of the session, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who is also the finance minister, will present the BJP government’s first Budget.

The Budget for 2025-26 is expected to focus on improving infrastructure, cleaning the Yamuna River, and addressing air pollution, along with provisions for the health and education sectors.
